PARCEL

A napkin sketch for Expo Georgia.

TRIANGULATE+GRADATE+LOFT

Pretty interesting iteration. Lofted the top and bottom profiles then contoured.

TRIANGULATE + GRADATE II

Another study model. I simplified the patterning and the result is much more elegant.

TRIANGULATE + GRADATE

Updated canopy study combing triangulation with gradation. Busy but interesting.

ITERATE

Study model of facade panels. Subtle dimensional differences increasing the width of the primary vertical from left to right.

PARALLEL

Study model for a canopy design.

FAIL

Failed plaster cast of exterior panel. The extraction failed but was successful in showing us where the stress fractures will occur in the final panel.

SCREEN

Scaled test of actual cut file used for the screen attached to the ornamental stair. The offset gradating parallelograms decrease in density from bottom to top achieving the minimum opening at 36" above the tread.

FOLD II

A detail shot of the column attachment.

FOLD

A light fixture that I designed with and fabricated for Tod Williams and Billie Tsien for their Central Park South residence. Laser cut blackened steel.

WARM

I liked to color and material of this shot. Very warm. The beer was smooth too.

PATTERN

Some New Orleans themed cards that I designed and fabricated. Digital craft. You may receive one for special occasions!

SUBDIVISION

Facade study for a residential project. Big to small; top to bottom.

GLOW

A random photograph of MMVC at night. It captures the essence of the design.

OPALESCENT

Interesting form, structure and color. Tasted good too.

TOLERANCE

Exposed architectural steel balconies. Very low tolerances. Very tight execution. Great job by Ryan Gootee General Contractors.

LIGHT

Washed with light.
